Privacy Policy Last Updated: May 1, 2025

This website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by CampNexxus, LLC (“CampNexxus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your and your child(ren)’s information as described in this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”). Please read this Policy carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us using the information provided at the end. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

We collect personal information in several ways: directly from you, from service providers and other third parties, and automatically through your use of the Site. Sometimes, you can choose what information to provide, but in other cases, we may require certain data to use specific features. You may provide information such as your name, email, phone number, date of birth, and gender when signing up for camp alerts or filling out registration forms. Without this data, we may not be able to offer specific services. We also automatically collect data such as IP address, browser type, approximate location, referring sites, access times, and interactions with our Site and emails.

“Personal information” or “personal data” refers to any data related to an identifiable individual or household, including identifiers like name, location, online ID, or traits specific to that person. Categories of information we collect include:

Contact Information such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, and IP addresses, which we use to operate the Site, communicate, process payments, and personalize experiences.

Purchase Information like credit/debit card numbers and billing addresses to handle payments and protect against fraud.

Commercial Information related to your interests and purchase history to personalize and improve our services and marketing.

Demographic Information including age, gender identity, ethnicity, and medical conditions, which may be necessary for camp accommodations and experience personalization.

Internet Activity such as browsing and search history to help us understand how you interact with the Site and serve relevant content.

Geolocation Data, inferred from your IP address, to personalize experiences and detect fraud.

Health Information relating to allergies or disabilities, necessary for accommodating campers.

User Content you upload—such as photos, audio, or documents—which we use to provide services and personalize experiences.

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance functionality, track traffic, and understand user behavior. These may be set by third-party services used to analyze Site performance or serve personalized content and ads. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, but doing so may affect your experience.

CampNexxus does not rent or sell your information, but we do share it with trusted third parties for legitimate business or legal purposes. This may include camps you’ve registered with, internet service providers, payment processors, marketing services, or legal authorities if required. Aggregated, non-identifiable information may also be shared for marketing or research. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale, personal information may be transferred to the new entity, which will honor this Policy until otherwise notified.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or loss, though no system can be 100% secure. Your personal information is transmitted at your own risk.

CampNexxus does not knowingly collect data from children under 18. Our Site is designed for parents. If we learn that a child has submitted personal information directly, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Parents may submit necessary child data on their behalf, for example, to help camps provide accommodations.

We may collect data to deliver targeted advertisements via tools like Facebook Pixel or Google Ads. Users may visit those platforms to learn how to manage privacy preferences. Our Site may also offer social sharing features that interact with third-party platforms (e.g., logging in with Facebook, using branded hashtags). Your interactions may become public depending on the settings of the third-party platform.

This Policy does not govern third-party websites linked from our Site. Please review the privacy policies of those sites independently. CampNexxus does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals at this time, but you may install browser plugins or adjust settings to opt out of interest-based advertising.

We may modify this Policy as legal or business needs evolve. Non-material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date, while material changes may be communicated more directly.

We retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined here unless otherwise required by law. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal data and can instruct us not to “sell” their data (note: we do not sell personal data for monetary consideration). CampNexxus may disclose personal data for certain “business purposes” as defined by the CCPA and has done so in the past 12 months.
